I bring you Fanime's con report, Fran's progress pics, and some bad news that has the possibility of turning into good news if fate lets it.
FANNYMAY 2007
First off, I have never dealt with so much drama when it came to getting a ride to the con. Many events took place and it got up to a point where we had to rent a car, which was for the buu, but things could have been worse.
Overall, this was a very farty con. Yes, very farty. Farts were coming out of people's butts left and right. Erik. Tim. I'm not innocent about it either. I farted way too much for my liking. Twas gross, but so damn funny.
My first day was on a Wednesday, when I had a job interview at TwinArt then had to run 429582936 errands. After doing that, packing, LOAWDING, I headed off to Joe's birthday party and there were many much foodsen to eatenesen. BBQ!! And wine tasting! Barefoot said there was chocolate in their wine but I tasted none whatsoever, even when the aftertaste kicked in. Buuu. Chocolate alcohol... yummeh. =\ Sam finally came around 945 and we headed off to Erik's place, did MOAR LOAWDING with Tim, then set off to Chouji's place, realized we forgot the food, came back, got the foodsen, ONLY to see this black spiky-looking thing on the pavement in front of Erik's neighbor's driveway, then realized that Erik forgot his Kenpachi wig on top of my car as we were LOAWDING with Tim, which fell as soon as I took off. Good thing we came back for the food otherwise there would have been no Kenpachi at the con! AAAAANNYway... Off to Chouji's to get attacked by Jeebus in our sleep! ^_____^
THURSDAY- We were woken up by the likes of Jeebuz, Chouji's dog. It was good because we were able to hit the road pretty semi-early but not really.
hahaha, this one.. I wanted something kewl in my sketchbook for once, so Erik, Sam, and I were taking turns passing around the sketchbook to draw with muh Prismacolor markers and gel pens. Then Chouji couldn't drive anymore, so he and Erik switched places and Chouji started drawing! And that is what we came up with! lol! By the way, I fucking hate cheesecakes!
We arrived in San Jose around what, 5ish? Ran right into Tim and Shana at the parking lot. Got the room, settled, chilled. Then went to the Pirates movie which was perty cool, except for the part where Davey Jone COULD'VE triumphed and lived, and possibly won that little war of theirs, but saw Jack and was like HAY PRIORITY CHANGE, IMMA FORGET MAH BOXEN AND FIGHT! That part made no sense!! But I did enjoy the absolute surrealism in some parts of the movie. They had some sweet VFX stuff I've never seen before, so SUPER PROPS TO INDUSTRIAL LIGHT AND MAGIC, DIGITAL DOMAIN, AND ASYLUM. I love me some VFX houses yo!
After Pirates, I vaguely remember what else went on; I think we just played some Guitar Hero and slept with 11 people in the room. Indeed.
FRIDAY- Friday was pictures day. Oh oh and Wilson's birthday! ^_____^ I forgot to mention I had to lug a freaking huge cookie cake with us to the trip! Well, it's not HUGE, but it's a big cookie, and it took forever to decorate; the black icing didn't want to cooperate! BUU! And I dropped that thing so many time too; I dont understand it maintained its composure. AAAANYWAY, enough owith the cookie! Shana and I jumped into our Hot Flash vice captains and took peeturz in front of the pool:

Afterwards, Shana wanted to change into HitsuGAYa and I changed into ANBU because I never wore that costume at a con. Met up with Amy and Caitlin and took pictures at the staircases that people seem to neglect. It's was awesome 8D
Yes, it was fucken scary, but a really nice rush! Thanks Caitlin, for the picture!

What else happened? ............ OH, I remember running around the convention center trying to look for freaking Wilson and William so I can give him his b-day cookie. They said they were in the dealer's hall. I went to the dealers hall. Called. They were out of the dealers hall. Went out the dealers hall. They somehow migrated to the other side of the center to those cafeteria tables within the span of three minutes. Finally met up with them. Wilson liked his cookie:

Dance wasn't open on Friday (so we THOUGHT). Instead Assley, Bartboy, and I hit up the game room to play DDR while everyone else went to the pool.
SATURDAY- ZaBOOOOOza day! MOAR pics! SnJ gathering! I've never been so exhausted after wearing one costume, but wow it was fun! Who cares about being exhausted?!

I forgot to put the SnJ gathering pictures in my memory card! And right now I'm in San Diego! BUU.
Afterwards, Erik and I went inside and I wanted to be a part of the masters drawing contest but got chosen as the model instead.
Yep... had to be in that position.... for three minutes... The sword got heavy all of a sudden but I counted the number of lines on the ceiling to forget about the weight. I now understand what it's like being a life drawing model! AHHH. I don't know how they can hold for 20+ miutes... naked, on top of that!

Then met up with Caitlin and Amy again (they were in KH II this time):
Erik and I changed out of Zabuza because we wanted to be able to eat, so everyone went out to eat! And had camera wars! And made faces! Afterwards, Erik, Assley and I danced until 1ish. 8-D
SUNDAY-
JACKED FROM AL DESU
Sunday was unproductive because people were doing masquerade stuff. I changed into Yoruichi, went to the bleach gathering, Took pictures of Amy and Caitlin as Arrancar (much to my dismay, I forgot to put those pictures in the memory card), did some wandering, ran into Justin and Assley, then we trekked to 7-Eleven. Along the way we ran into the San Jose New City hall and hoooooooooooly wow, that place was amazing. Had a photoshoot after we got out foodsen. Hung out with Amy, Caitlin, Tim, Sam. Took many funny pictures of Amy and Tim. Played guitar Hero? I seriously dont remember what happened on Sunday, so fast forward to nighttime. Around 10-11ish the masquerade was finished and I took pictures of the FMA group. Zach and others, I swear to you I'll get the pictures done! Count on it! I forgot to put the pictures I've started working on in my memory card D:
MONDAY- Monday--- BLEACH GIRLS DAY!!!!! SKIRT! SKIRT! SKIRT! SKIRT!
We stayed at the convention till 2ish, ate pizza, had food coma and fell asleep in the restaurant. Packing the stuff in the car was interesting. No high amount of Tetris skills will be enough to pack all our shit in the car. you'd need a miracle. And we had ours. :O On the way home, Amy, Erik, and I played the Bleach game and drew:

And now for the semi-bad-news-that-has-the-potential-to-become-good-news: Many turn of events happened, and things aren't exactly going my way right now. Let's just say I dont exactly have a steady dependable job yet. I've been doing job searching like whoa and so far, no responses yet. If I don't get a job by the week of the 18th, I'm not going to AX. I don't have enough money to go and to fund the necessities for the month of July. But! It's only a con! :D Wait for next year you guys! I'll be there by then! |

Waaaa I wish I went to Fanime ; _ ; (Yes, I said this last year too..but alas..) I WILL GO NEXT YEARRRRRRR (; A ;)9" (Yea, I fucking said this last ye-- *gets killed*) This con report makes me excited for AX even more xD I can't wait to see in your sexyyyyy Fran-nyan-wan costume. The costume is looking great, and I know you'd look 120% mega-awesome as her :D CAN'T WAIT!
As for the pictures, Caitlin and Amy always seem to pull the characters they're cosplaying off so well O_O I love seeing your pictures of them :3 And as much as I think "D'awwwwww so cute" for the pic of you and Mr. Giant-Erik kissing, I can't help but LOLOLOL to the fact that you guys are kissing with shit covering your mouths. It's just....I don't know....looks funny to me. But anyways, D'AWWWWWW<3

Fanime was really fun! I'm sure AX will be even better for you! You have new costumes to debut woot woot! And I shall take pictures of you one day. I must! Your costumes are way too awesome, it cant miss a photoshoot!
Yah, Caitlin and Amy are freaking awesome. They are an extreme duo. Anything that requires two people-- they're all over them! And they pull it off so well! :O
It felt weird kissing with stuff covering our mouths, hahha. Then again, I think kissing with stuff covering the mouths feel weird xD

Yah, I'll be at the summer gathering for August. It'll be funnnn~ I dont think I'd wear Fran there (if I finish her by then); there's much running around to be done!
Wish you the best of luck on the job hunting. If worse comes to worse, its better do the important things first.

For Fran, I used craft foam and tacky glue. Tacky glue is the best glue there is; it's flexible, durable, and you can get a shitload for cheap! 8D I got me a nice big tube for $4.

As for the ANBU costume, no I havent worn it at a con until Fanime. The cosmode thing was an actual photoshoot :o
